She started dancing ballet and doing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of four, but her attention was drawn to tap dance when she was just six years old. Since then, she has been based at the JustTap Dance Company as a dancer and as a technique teacher. With JustTap Dance Company she has been to International Dance Organization European and World Tap dance championships where in the solo adults category she placed 13th place. As a Tap dancer, she went to various Tap dance festivals such as “Tap On Barcelona 2017", “Stockholm Tap Festival 2018” and “Stockholm Tap Festival 2023” where she attended professionals level.

Sofija’s experience in contemporary, lyrical and acro styles comes from contemporary dance troupe “Key”, “Gama” and “Vilnius’ Ballet” dance studios. She has won various awards in duet, small-group, and formation categories (“Šok 2019 “Overall best junior duo in Lithuania”, “Lithuanian Show and Contemporary Dance Competition 2017” junior small-group 3rd place, “Allegro 2017” solo — award for “The Most Charismatic Performance of the Competition” etc.).

When being fifteen years old she started her career as a jazz dancer and choreographer in the College of Vilnius, Musical Theatre department. She choreographed dances for “All That Jazz” (“Chicago”, “Overture” (42nd Street), “Pink Panther” and more. Sofija also gave a lecture on optional hip-hop classes for Musical Theatre students and choreographed a dance routine (song “Strip That Down” by Liam Payne) for their optional class’s exam.

In 2022 Sofija choreographed a 45-minute jazz and Tap dance show “Red is the Color of Jazz”. The premiere was held on the 22nd of June 2022 in Vilnius’ Dance Theatre. The show included various jazz and Tap dance choreographies which were performed by six dancers. The show was enjoyed and in early October Sofija became a verified record holder for a “Youngest Jazz Show Director and Choreographer in Lithuania”.
